Oh well

But that night is over now. Last night I cried. While on myspace I read a bulletin from 'Angel Mothers' against abuse'. It was Kelsey Briggs 3rd Angel Versery. She died at age 2. Her parents had divorced before she was born. Although she loved spending time with her daddy ( A U.S solider) she lived with her mom. Her first signs of abuse started when her mother started dating a man named Michael Porter. Bruises and broken collar bones. She was sent to live with her grandma but had regular visits with mom. Both her legs were broken in the care of her mother. She was sent to live with her other grandma on her fathers side while the court decided what to do. The judge declared that the abuser was unknown... and sent her back to her mother. She died soon after. A kick or punch to her stomach went unnoticed and it was her final blow. She no longer had the spirit she once had. She had given up. When her father came home from Iraq, all he wanted to do was hold his little girl and giver her the camel he had gotten her. Instead he had to bury his little girl. Michael Porter was charged 30 years in prison for child abuse...and stachitory rape to Kelsey Briggs. Her mother is aslo inprisoned for imbedling abuse. But what about the Judge that sent her back, the docters who treated her over and over again, where was child services then.

Kelsey diserved better, and I just that God that my life isn't that bad. I will never forget Kelsey and niether will many others in oklahouma where a law has been passed in her name.

Stay Strong-
Brooke
